Heyyyyyyy
I know i haven't written in forever for anyone who reads my blog but i just had to when i was approved for my first book ever! from netgalley.com . I was lucky enough to get approved for Friday Night Lights and i was not disappointed. Thank you GOD, Cassie Mae and Random House! It was an amazing experience to read this book.
In a world where money took priority, Kellie and Chase found love and family. The characters of this book made me laugh a lot! Playing pranks on each other, falling in love and making sacrifices for each other. They also fought for each other.
When it first started i didn't really understand what was going on. This was only because i first saw the alibi packets. [Don't worry, you'll get it soon enough] I didn't quickly grab the meaning but by the actual first page, it became apparent. Genius Idea for both Kellie and Cassie Mae, by the way. Kellie finds her joy in being needed and so creates Alibi packets to help out the trust fund babies of Sundale. See, Kellie is the your alibi. When you need to do something that could get your trust fund yanked, she'll cover for you. Her Alibi packets are things that y'all supposedly did together. Kellie is your Girl Friday. Kellie herself is rich but she feels alone and unloved.
In comes Chase. Her Friday night boy! OMG! I was excited to see him. Hot boy who seems to be from across the tracks but has suffered his own brouh-ah-ahs. For those who love Joseph Gordon-Levitt's pretty face, Jackpot! Think of him with a mustasche! Swoon! eeepp! OMG!
They didn't know it, but they already knew each other. Before i go ahead and blurt out all the good parts of this novel (all the parts) I should tell you that seeing them fall in love with each other was my highlight of the day and trust me when i say i already had an awesome day. They are just so perfect for each other. They complement each other and just..just gelled even if they didn't first know that.
Chase morphed from this boy that she didn't know she knew to the boy she knew that knew her too. It's a beautiful story to read and i hope everyone who reads this blog goes out to buy it. I would definitely be adding it to my collection.
This story is really all about sacrifices. The sacrifice we make for love and family. If you feel misunderstood and alone, this book will certainly call to you. It was beautiful.
Cassie Mae, if you ever read this, you did an excellent and amah-zhing job when you wrote this book. Love you and sign me up for your next bestseller!
